What the NEW RELEASE for DEVELOPERS offers...

Now, CS8014 "Automatic FFT Telephone Test System" becomes able to test the functionality of  the PSTN Telephone Equipments (TE) equipped with the Short Message Service function.

But, if you are a designer and if you are developing a new telephone model with the SMS function, you need a powerful instrument, able to verify all the reactions to the possible events scheduled by the Standards.

To activate this function you must have CS8014 with the Options SGN-OPT+CLIP and SMS-4 already installed and have obtained by CS Sales Department the activation code.

This new release adds to your Telephone Testers the following functions and meet the below listed Regulations:

  • Functions:

    • Service Center Status Report: SC to TE.

    • Commands for Service Center: TE to SC.

    • More blocks: add further handshake transmission blocks to manage error conditions in both directions.

  • Two bytes character encoding - Big5 and Taiwan character sets compliant.

  • Developer Option let you able to replace, in the RP_AS and SMS_AS phases, the FSK generator with DTMF generator, to meet special Standard requirements (i.e. Dutch Standard).

  • ETSI 201 912 - Annex A (protocol 1) and B (protocol 2) - Message sequence charts.

  • ETSI 202 912-2 - Test suites for Used Based Solutions - part 2 - user side for Data Link Layer - prot.1

  • ETSI 202 912-7 - Test suites for Used Based Solutions - part 7 - user side for functional tests - prot.1

(With this New Developer Option will be supplied 4 testing libraries for all the above Regulations)

SCtoTE – Service Center Status Report

Service Center returns the status report to the Terminal Equipment. The SMS-STATUS-REPORT contains information about the state of the message: whether it has or has not been delivered to the receiving entity and when.

TEtoSC – Command for Service Center

The Terminal Equipment sends to the Service Center a control message. The SMS-COMMAND contains commands that must be associated with a message already delivered by the
 SMS-SUBMIT.

More blocks

Let the developer to add further handshake transmission blocks respect to the normal SMS functionality.
Very useful to manage error conditions in both directions.

Test Sequences Libraries

Are supplied 4 libraries with the typical test sequences, for CS8014 and CS6015, as required by:

  • ETSI ES 201 912 annex A (protocol 1)

  • ETSI ES 201 912 annex B (protocol 2)

  • ETSI 202 912-2

  • ETSI 202 912-7

The Developer can import directly the wanted case from the loaded library into the test program under editing. The libraries offer the standard parameterization as scheduled by the ETSI annexes. The Developer, if desired, can change the parameterization of  the Standard case to obtain its own special test control.
