GENERALS
The ISDN-4 Interface, here described,
allows the CS8014/CS6015 to extend effectively toward the ISDN telephone
terminals the functional testing. Especially it can operate on TE terminals
(telephones) or on PABX connected through the S Bus.
By the ISDN-4 interface connected to CS8014/CS6015
Test Equipment will be possible to perform the functional tests listed on the
following table.

ISDN-4 Interface can be represented as in the
following block diagram.
Power supply for ISDN-4 is supplied from CS8014/CS6015.
ISDN line feeding voltage is also supplied from CS8014/CS6015, if
required.
All the controls for the Interface setup are made using
the CS8014/CS6015 Actuators Programmable Relays contacts.
ISDN-4 can be set either as TE (Terminal Equipment) or NT
(Network Termination). It works with both the A (Europe) and m
(USA) PCM laws.
ISDN-4
Interface have a built-in DTS (Digital Test
Signal) generator, certifiable, by which the User can simply calibrate the
transfer characteristic in both the directions D/A and A/D.
The design of the ISDN-4 Interface follows the
requirements of the Standard ETSI - CTR8 - Appendix 1, so it is effectively
useful for testing, characterization and approvals of Digital Telephone
Terminals.
