AC-4 Artificial Test Head allows performing, in an easy and repeatable way, Speech Equivalent measures on user telephone sets in the extended range of 100Hz - 8000Hz (AC-3 Test Head works between 200Hz - 4000Hz).

Auxiliary devices (e.g. HA Magnetic field detector for Hearing Aids, PH-18 Sound Level Meter) can be connected to AC-4 to perform acoustic test for hearing aids and ringers. 

AC-4 Artificial Test Head is composed by:

AC-4 can be connected with CS8014, CS6015 and CS8030. It works in Manual mode with CS8014 or in Automatic mode with CS8030.

The AC-4's motorized pressure arm rotates clockwise or counterclockwise, lifts up and down, to lock/unlock the handset in its position on the adapter ring. These operations are executed, with CS8030, simply by a software command.

AC-4 also indicates at the end of acoustic test, if it has been passed or failed.

AC-4 BRA - Test Head automation

AC-4 Artificial Test Head also offers the possibility to install and to drive an optional mechanism (AC-4 BRA). It is fitted with an handset presence detector and a mechanism to plug a cord into the lower side connector on telephone handset or GSM telephones.

There is also the possibility to mark the handsets that have been passed or not the test program. These operations, as well, are executed with CS8030, simply by a software command.

It’s machined to fit different handset caps. It’s absolutely necessary to use it to assure a correct and repetitive handset positioning, so therefore repetitive measure.
