The Automatic Testing System is composed by the following
devices:

CS8030 |
Basic Controller able to perform all the
acoustic tests required by an handset. It drives and supplies all the
connected accessories. |
| Automatic Test Head |
AC-4 |
Test Head equipped
with Ear simulator and Mouth Simulator. It supports the handset under
test in the correct modal position. |
| Adapter |
FLNG |
Handset adapter
ring. It consists in the negative shape of the receiver part of the
handset. The specific function is to generate the EAR Reference Plane, to
force the handset in the correct modal position and to detect the presence
of the handset. The FLNG item must be designed or machined in function of
the handset shape. |
| Magnetic Coupler |
HA |
Magnetic Flux
concentrator for Hearing Aids coupling evaluation. Only if needed |
| Cable Insertion & Marker |
AC-4 INS |
It inserts the cable
into the handset connector. Must be designed on the handset shape. |
| Pneumatic controller |
AC-3020 |
Pneumatic controller
for the AC-4 INS. Driven by the AC-4 Test Head. |
| 4 Wires to 2 Wires Converter |
FC-4 |
It drives both
type of capsules. It presents to the capsule of the handset under test the same impedance of the original telephone set.
It uncouples them from the measure
circuitry. It also supplies eventual presetting polarizing voltage
necessary for electret microphones. |
