CS8030, the Test
Equipment for telephone acoustics, can effectively becomes a capsule
tester.
Together with AC-3 (200-4000Hz) or AC-4 (100-8000Hz) it can
tests receiver or transmitter capsules, according to the most known Standards
or Manufacturer specifications.
The test time is less than 2 seconds/capsule by testing the frequency
response, the level and the T.H. Distortion. The measure's results can
be collected to produce a statistical or analytical lot report.
|
The Test System is composed by the following
devices:
| Basic Test Equipment |
CS8030 |
Basic Controller able to perform all the
acoustic tests required by transmitting or receiving capsule. It drives and supplies all the
connected accessories. |
| Test Head |
AC-4/AC-3 |
Test Head equipped
with Ear Simulator and Mouth Simulator. It supports the capsule under
test in the correct position through the customized adapter. |
| Capsule
Adapter |
Transmitter |
It holds
Microphones or Transmitter capsules in front to the Mouth simulator. Normally
the capsule position matches the MRP. In any case the adapter meets
the Manufacturer Specifications.
It also allows the electrical
connection of the capsule. |
| Receiving |
It holds
Receiving capsules on the edges of Artificial Ear.
In some cases the Manufacturer Specifications demands to interpose
an acoustic filter between artificial Ear and the capsule.
It also allows the electrical
connection of the capsule. |
| Magnetic Coupler
for Hearing Aids |
HA |
Magnetic Flux
concentrator for evaluation of Hearing Aids coupling. Meets ITU -P37. Only if needed
for the receiving capsules. |
| Capsules Interface |
FC-4 |
It drives both
type of capsules. It presents to the capsule under test the same impedance of the original telephone set.
It uncouples them from the measure
circuitry. It also supplies eventual presetting polarizing voltage
necessary for electret microphones. |
By the Capsule Test System, here
described, it's possible to make the functional tests listed on the following
table:
|
Test
Cases
|
-
Sending and
Receiving Sensitivity Frequency response.
-
Sending and
Receiving Loudness Rating.
-
Sending And
Receiving Distortion
-
